Legislation of Senator Ted Cruz’s SCRIPT (Stopping Censorship, Restoring Integrity, and Protecting Talkies) Act, raised concerns for American movie companies where it imposes to block movies access to U.S. government support putting a toll in promoting the ideals of freedom and constitutional liberty. Though the SCRIPT Act is borne of good intentions, the bill would stop the Pentagon from assisting any studios that altered their movies to fulfill Chinese demands and would make studios promise not to censor their films before getting any DOD support.
