On demand for fresh blood given directly to the battlefield in fast time is now a possibility thanks to the new Valkyrie program. The program is for the Marines and will save many lives as it makes it easier for those on the battlefield to receive fresh blood after being injured. It allows for blood to be drawn from the donor and given directly to the patient rather than having to store the blood.
