TikTok is currently still allowed in the United States, despite other countries recently banning the app. Microsoft is now looking to buy TikTok, owned by a Chinese company, which would save the app from possibly being banned. They are proposing to the President that all data will be transferred and stored in the US. President Trump and other countries have expressed concern that China is using the app to steal personal information.
