A heavy debate among U.S. leaders has brought up the names of many military bases and how they are named after Confederate War soldiers. While the confederacy only lasted five years, some argue that the Confederacy is the biggest act of treason while some argue that these soldiers were soldiers like any other and Confederate history should be remembered as American history. Joint Chiefs Chairmen Gen. Mark Milley believes that these soldiers committed treason, while the Commander in Chief believes that there should be more thinking on this decision rather than just removing their names.
