The Air Force will now use special boxes to isolate and transport COVID-19 personnel to receive treatment. The boxes are being called Negatively Pressured Conex and serves as an isolated containment chamber. The goal is to be able to transport up to 28 patients infected with infectious disease and in this case, COVID-19, without spreading it to the crew. The first time they were used was July 1st and helped transport 12 patients from the Middle East to Ramstein Airforce base in Germany.
