Army plans to expand roles for elite special and airborne forces known for surgical strikes | The Print

Changes coming to the Indian Army include a maximum of 500 trainees in every regime, exposing soldiers to multiple theaters, and essentialized training-based selection process. The elite special forces and airborne battle Lions conduct covert missions and surgical strikes. A top defense source told the print that the new system will standardize the selection and training procedures.
