U.S. sends ventilators to Russia in $5.6 million coronavirus aid package | NPR News

The U.S. Embassy has commented that a coronavirus aid package currently being sent to Russia is being called a “rapid fulfillment.” The aid package was compiled after Russian President Putin called President Trump and requested aid in helping to fight the virus. 50 ventilators have been sent, and 150 more are set to be shipped out next week. John Sullivan, the U.S. ambassador to Russia, has stated that the U.S. and Russia have provided assistance to each other in the past and will continue to do so, especially now. Russia also sold and provided ventilators, masks, and other coronavirus PPE to the U.S. back in April.
