A security guard at the entrance to Naval Air Station Corpus Christi in Texas was shot in the chest by an assailant on Thursday. His bullet proof vest was hit, and he has sustained nonlife-threatening injuries. The shooter was a 20-year-old man named Adam Alsahli, who then crashed his car into the gate barrier before getting out of his vehicle shooting at the guards, where he was then shot and killed by the Naval guards. His vehicle and body was cleared by bomb technicians, but no explosive devices were found. Postings on his social media accounts has revealed that the shooter had supported ISIS and Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
