A US airline industry group has been gathering data during the coronavirus pandemic and as revealed that many passengers are unable to practice social distancing. Most get on a plane to discover that it is too full to allow one seat between everyone. Now, around 482 flights in the U.S. are sitting above the 70 percent mark for passenger capacity. The International Air Transport Association has stated that in order for most aircrafts to maintain social distancing of their passengers, they need to be at 62 percent capacity or less. Some airlines have stated that they will notify customers if the plane will be at 70 percent or higher, allowing them to rebook if they desire.
