On Monday, a leading drug making company in the U.S, Moderna, announced that a possible coronavirus vaccine appeared to be generating an immune response. These results came from Phase I of the trials and they also announced they will be advancing to Phase II. Some experts however are saying that there is not enough evidence to determine if the vaccine works or not. The National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases who is working on this vaccine with Moderna has also not done a press release on the vaccine, something out of character for the institute. We also do not know how durable or long-lasting the response may be.
