The U.S. military has recent reports stating that the Islamic State terror organization is living in the shadow of their former selves and has been largely eradicated. However, some of their partner forces in Syria and Iraq disagree as concern regarding their capabilities has been growing. A source from the U.S.-backed Kurdish forces in Iraq and Syria has commented that the terror group has been growing and is actually more dangerous than it was before. Another source also stated that the reports by the U.S. that the number of attacks carried out by the Islamic State were dwindling is not true. Coalition data says that ISIS claimed 151 attacks in the month of April.
