After a report stated that those with a nicotine addiction were less likely to need medical care for the coronavirus, France banned the online sale of nicotine. The presence of the product in stores and pharmacies has also been limited. Currently trials to test this nicotine theory are set to begin in France. Their government announced that people can only buy one-month supply of the substance and they will go through a registration process and system to ensure the regulation is being met. The goal is to prevent people from putting a large amount of nicotine in their bodies in hopes to fight or protect against the virus.
