The coronavirus has caused major changes to society around the world with no one being left unaffected. With many people working from home, the reduced domestic and international travel has seemed to have had a positive effect on the environment. For the first time in decades, you can see the Himalayas from areas in India, and animals have been venturing closer to cities. NASA and the European Space Agency have also noted that satellite imagery is showing a major drop in nitrogen dioxide emissions from China. Air pollution in other countries such as Italy has also been noticed. The air and space around Los Angeles is also free of the extreme smog that normally encompasses the city.
