Brian Anderson spent a combined total of 36 months in Iraq and Afghanistan as a Green Beret during his time in the U.S. Army. After retiring, he started Veterans Alternatives in 2015 after personally struggling with what he saw overseas and returning to civilian life. Veterans Alternative offered numerous classes to veterans who were struggling, such as therapy, yoga, physical fitness, and meditation. Even with the coronavirus closing the brick and mortar sessions he was hosting, Anderson has moved these classes online. “This is a part of our community that we don’t want forgotten and that can easily happen when we’re stuck in a crisis or pandemic… but there are warriors out there who need to feel connected,” he commented.
