How Delta Force and SEAL Team 6 might be mitigating coronavirus readiness risks | Washington Examiner

The Army’s Delta Force and the Navy’s DEVGRU/Seal Team 6 are the primary resources used to execute specific missions, including hostage recovery. During the coronavirus pandemic however, how are these teams able to practice proper health safety while still remaining prepared and ready? Members of these teams risk contracting the virus from their families and others while on lockdown. Tom Rogan believes the elite units are most likely working and operating in shifts made up of smaller teams. They could operate in 15-day cycles as that would cover the period of time where someone who is infected with the coronavirus would begin to show symptoms. No matter how the top special operations units are preventing an outbreak amongst their ranks, preserving readiness and mission success is still a top priority.
