While it is too early to know for sure how climate and weather affects the new coronavirus strain, scientists are looking at the current data to make estimations. Currently, there is evidence showing that the virus is more prominent in cool, dry locations. Other research has shown that the countries and cities with increased cases have a cooler climate. Researchers at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine have noted that the virus has spread to all corners of the world, including those with a current high average temperature. Many have stated that all coronavirus data has to be taken with a grain of salt however, due to the lack of testing and the wait time on results.
