Syrian refugees began coming to UK special forces, asking for help with pregnancy health issues and to deliver babies. The UK Foreign Office agreed for the U.S. to also assist the refugees. Volunteers at the Rukban camp were able to contact those in the Syria Solidarity Campaign in order to bring help to those in need. The camp’s medical officer also had to perform a pregnancy related surgery, despite not being trained in this. A colleague in the U.S. was able to guide him through the procedure while in the U.S. through a video call.
