Marillyn Hewson, Chairman and CEO of Lockheed Martin, has announced three main points the company will focus on during the coronavirus pandemic. The first is that the health and safety of their employees and families are the top priority. Second, defense products will continue to be manufactured and delivered, with the third point stating that the company will assist the U.S. in fighting the pandemic as much as they can. Currently Lockheed is advancing $50 million to small and medium-size companies within their supply chain to help combat the economic effects caused by the virus. They are also donating millions of dollars to charities and nonprofits focusing on relief during the pandemic. In addition, the company is still hiring new workers, a needed relief when millions of Americans have been laid off in the recent weeks.
