A two-week training exercise in Belarus with the Royal Marines has concluded. The peacekeeping training saw the Green Berets from Plymouth-based 42 Commando and the Peacekeeping Company of the 103rd Guards Airborne Division participate. Known as Exercise Winter Partisan, the groups exchanged survival tactics, navigation skills, and peacekeeping missions. This is the first time Belarus has allowed other countries to participate in military training in their homeland in recent years. Lima Company commanding officer Major John Whiteman commented that the joint training was a success and improved tactical abilities as well as the relationship between the countries.
