A 14-day stop-movement order has been issued for U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. No one is allowed to go to CENTCOM’s AOR, and if soldiers are slated to deploy, they must have a 14-day quarantine period. Those who were set to be outbound from the countries are currently on hold for at least two weeks. Currently 2,600 personnel from EOCOM are in self-isolation due to exposure, and 35 have currently tested positive for the virus. All training exercises in Iraq are also currently suspended, with many others also being halted. The peace deal with the Taliban that includes the removal of all U.S. troops from Afghanistan is not expected to be affected by the virus.
