Amazon has announced to their sellers that they will be blocking all shipments of items that are not deemed necessary or most popular. Medical and household supplies will still be stocked however, until greater shortages begin to take place. The hold on products is currently active until April 5th but could expand passed this depending on the coronavirus case scenario. The following six categories will be prioritized by Amazon: baby products, health and household, beauty and personal care, grocery, industrial and scientific, and pet supplies. These categories have also seen a huge surge in the number of orders since the pandemic began, and the measures being taken are designed to allow the company to keep up with demand.
