A former SAS soldier has told a news network that he witnessed three separate cases where an Afghan civilian was murdered after being detained. “If they go to a criminal trial, I do believe they’ll be found guilty,” the soldier commented. One of investigations follows the killing of Abdul Jalil and his father Haji Raz Mohammad during a raid in 2012 in the Uruzgan province. During the raid, the SAS troops came into a Sola mosque during prayer and kicked a man in the head before going through the town, shooting and kicking in doors. In the morning it was discovered that Adbul and his father had both been shot twice because they were talking on a radio and reaching for a soldier’s weapon.
