The CJHIRAIN mission during Cobra Gold 2020 saw the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit employ HIMARS with a joint force for the first time. The 31st MEU rehearsed the actions with the Royal Thai Marines and the U.S. Air Force 353rd Special Operations Command 17th Special Operations Squadron. Cobra Gold has been able to increase collaboration and response time between nations and prove just how quickly troops and equipment can be dispatched. The successful exercises with the HIMARS continues to strengthen capabilities in the Indo-Pacific region between the U.S. and Thailand.
