Ukraine is now six years into being invaded by Russia that has led to the death of over 14,000 Ukrainians and displaced millions more. Volodymyr Yelchenko, the Ukrainian ambassador to the United States, has commented on how the U.S. needs to pay attention to how Russia has conducted this invasion. Yelchenko has commented on how the war in his country is being fought much differently than the wars in the Middle East, meaning the U.S. isn’t used to this kind of conflict. Modern and hybrid warfare also play a large role in how Russia has worked their invasion, techniques China has also been copying in their own conflicts. He also noted how Pentagon officials had been hearing from Ukrainians who had been on the front line, a strong step in the right direction.
