Concern that Afghanistan would crumble to other terror organizations after the U.S. pulled all of their troops out of the country has led to a new SOF network designed for the area. The new peace deal with the Taliban called for the U.S. to remove all troops from Afghanistan, but many were concerned what other terror groups would do in the area following this. To curb this issue a new network of special operations troops will continue to operate in the country and focus on tracking down other terror networks and work with Afghan security forces. U.S. officials have expressed their concern however for the next 14 months, with many wondering if the Taliban will uphold their end of the deal.
