Former Vice President Joe Biden had two protestors, who appeared to be protesting diary and cows, rush the stage during his Super Tuesday speech. The first protestor was quickly pulled off stage before a second one rushed it as well. Many people began to ask if the former vice president still receives protection from the Secret Service. He, and other former politicians, do not continue to receive protection, however. Biden received protection for the six months following when he left office, and Homeland Security has the ability to extend this time frame if they see fit. Currently major political candidates will begin receiving protection at a minimum of 120 days before the general election.
