Online commissary privileges finally available to newly eligible shoppers | Military.com

Almost 4 million people now allowed to shop at the commissary and exchange are now able to receive those benefits online. Those newly granted access include Purple Heart recipients, former POW, caregivers registered with the VA’s Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers program, and veterans with a service-related disability. Since January 1st, however, they have struggled to use their benefits online and to bring guests on-base. A large update and addition of new records over the past two months has largely cleared up this issue, but those experiencing difficulty should contact the VA to ensure all data is correctly entered into the system.
