Turkish forces retaliated against the Syrian government following an attack that left 33 soldiers dead. Numerous government targets were hit that resulted in neutralizing 309 troops. Russia claims the Turks were fighting along side terror and rebel organizations during the attack. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin have both agreed that the fighting has escalated to a measure that greatly harms civilians. A possible summit has also been considered down the road. Turkish-backed rebels recently took back the town of Saraqeb, located in an area heavily dominated by Syrian rebels.
