Stanford University, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, and the Naval Postgraduate School were among the locations recently visited by Gen. Richard D. Clarke. Clarke, Commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command, was looking to explore how the NPS was dealing with modern issues and creating new platforms for advancement and innovation. He specifically looked into how the school was preparing students for the SOF field and the changes recently made. The NPS also had Clarke speak at the Secretary of the Navy Guest Lecture and interact with students. “Thinking about the future, and helping the force become predictive is why I’m spending time in places like NPS,” commented Clarke.
