More U.S.-India arms sales could follow $3.5 billion helicopter deal | Forbes

The U.S. and India have agreed to a $3.5 billion deal to sell 24 Sikorsky MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopters to the Indian Navy and six Boeing AH-64E Apache Guardian attack helicopters to the Indian Army. While an anticipated trade deal was not agreed on, the sale gives hope to more interactions between the two countries in the future. Another deal was recently authorized for a possible sale of IADWS short-range air defense systems. This comes after President Trump received a warm welcome when visiting India, and it resulted in a successful trip.
