South Korea has reported a total of 833 confirmed Coronavirus cases. U.S. troops have been banned from unnecessary travel to and from the base, as well as being instructed to not shake anyone’s hand. Currently no known confirmed cases have gone onto the base, but the virus has been spreading quickly since hitting the city of Daegu. Health checks are now being conducted at the gate including health questionnaires and temperature readings. Schools are currently closed down, with talks that online classes could be a temporary alternative. Businesses, such as the commissary, have asked anyone entering the establishments to use hand sanitizer before and after their trip.
