Forward Area Refueling Point aircrew members with the 27th Special Operations Wing are working with F-22 Raptors and members from the 3rd Wing to conduct the first simulated FARP for F-22 Raptors in an extreme cold weather environment. This event took place at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska during Emerald Warrior. The F-22 Raptors are designed with the newest technology and abilities, and this recent training has now added another tool to their belt. Those involved were able to better their cold weather skills by performing a new task while dealing with limited visibility, extreme cold, and a new environment.
