Boko Haram: 37 army officers, soldiers get meritorious award for gallantry | The Sun

37 distinguished officers in the Nigerian Army will be awarded for their efforts in Operation LAFIYA DOLE. The officers will receive Special Letters of Commendation, and the other soldiers will be promoted to their next rank. Leaders and officials believe awarding these men for their gallantry will inspire others to do the same and to have the motivation to go above and beyond their call. The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai commended the troops for their actions and continued fight against the Islamic State, Boko Haram, and other security threats.
