Second ex-CIA contractor testifies on interrogations in 9/11 case at Guantanamo | Military Times

John Bruce Jessen is a former CIA contractor who helped James Mitchell create the interrogation program under scrutiny following the 9/11 attacks. Jessen testified that the use of these techniques, many of which are considered barbaric, were only used to discover if there was another terrorist attack plot. “If at any time they didn’t want the techniques to be applied, all they had to do was talk, and most of them did that right away,” he commented. The lawyers of five men charged with orchestrating the attack are trying to prove that any information given by their clients was forced through torture.
