Here’s an update on the military aviation mishaps in the last few days | The Aviationist

January 27th saw three military aviation problems occur within the span of 12 hours. The first incident occurred when an E-11A Battlefield Airborne Communications Node crashed into area controlled by the Taliban, 178 miles northeast of Kandahar Airfield. The remains of two airmen were recovered by SEAL Team Six. While an investigation is ongoing, there are currently no reports of the crash happening due to enemy fire.

The second mishap was the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior of the 93rd Air Force Base of the Croatian Air Force that crashed into the sea. The crash occurred for unknown reasons, and both of the pilots perished. Both bodies were recovered.

Lastly, an Algerian Su-30MKA Flanker-H being used during a night training exercise crashed near Mechta Draa Tafza. Both of the pilot were killed in the crash.
