The French Foreign Legion’s boot camp is better known as a four-month trip to hell. Maxwell Sweeney from Massachusetts was able to attend the camp and provide details on the grueling experience. Only one out of ten men who attempt the training will make it through, located at what they call “The Farm.” The first four weeks consist of an intro to the military, including physical fitness, drills, and discipline. Next comes the three weeks of field work and a week of mountain training. The hardest obstacle to overcome in order to complete the boot camp is a 75-mile march that is accomplished in three days.
