The Russian military monitoring company and website, Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT), has reported that four Russian special forces officers were killed in the Syrian Arab Republic. Photos of quickly erected memorials honoring the four FSB Special Operations Center officers have been released. The CIT has been investigating the actions of Russian troops and mercenaries in Syria but cannot confirm the death of the officers or what they were involved in. Another source, the Baza Telegram channel, reported that the officers’ vehicle hit a landmine north of Aleppo and were then attacked by insurgents.
