Cpl. Pedro Collier who was in the Joint Task Force 2 counter-terrorism unit at Dwyer Hill has been found guilty to possession of stolen property exceeding $5,000 and possession of a prohibited device. Over a two-and-a-half-year period, Collier stole $23,000 worth of equipment such as jackets, GPS, watches, boots, and generators. He took hundreds of rounds of ammunition and weapon parts. It was also noted during the case that in some instances his superiors told him to simply take certain items, even though he knew they didn’t belong to him. An investigation is looking into other service members and their authority on these matters.
