Naval NCO charged with Green Beret’s murder | Up and Coming Weekly

Must Read

Special Warfare Operator Chief Tony E. DeDolph and three other service members are being charged with the death of Staff Sgt. Logan Melgar. Melgar was killed a year and a half ago in Mali during an alleged hazing incident where he was strangled to death. DeDolph has pleaded not guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter, hazing and felony murder plus conspiracy, assault, obstruction of justice and burglary. Staff Sgt. Kevin Maxwell and Navy SEAL Adam C. Matthews pleaded guilty in 2019 to lesser charges for their involvement. DeDolph’s lawyer has called Melgar’s death a tragic accident and has now snowballed into an injustice against his client.
