U.S. Space Force mocked for unveiling camouflage uniforms | BBC

Must Read

After officially being launched by President Trump a month prior, an image was posted on social media of the Space Force uniform, which sported a woodland camouflage pattern with the new badge. The picture quickly spread around the internet with many users asking the same question of “why camo in space?” People were quick to up the ante by posting comments and pictures of camouflage next to a blank, black image or galaxy design to represent space and asking where the similarities lie. The Space Force quickly took to Twitter to vindicate their uniform design, stating that using the camouflage pattern cut down on the cost of designing a new uniform and would allow the troops to look similar to other branches when operating on the ground. However, social media users refused to let up and posted more images and comments including “how many trees are they expecting to find in space?”
