A senior U.S. official released the unclassified information on a possible threat in Germany, saying that the U.S. received “third party information stating there was an [sic] possible imminent attack against U.S. soldiers located at either Tower Barracks in Grafenwohr or Tower Barracks, Dulmen, exact location, date and time unknown.” An unknown Jordanian extremist located near a military base recently encouraged killing U.S. troops and is believed to be the one threatening and planning such an attack. Troops have been warned to be aware of their surroundings, but an investigation has yet to reveal an imminent threat.
