Several months of calmed down conflict between the Huthis and Yemen’s internationally recognized government has erupted into calamity after an attack leaves more than 80 Yemeni soldiers dead. The Huthis attacked a mosque during evening prayer in a military camp located in the central province of Marib. Casualties are currently at 83 soldiers, with at least 148 injured by the drone and missile strike. This is believed to be one of the bloodiest and deadliest attacks since the conflict broke out into fighting in 2014. President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi has called the attack on the mosque “cowardly and terrorist,” as well as considered such an attack as a low blow and dishonorable.
