David Petraeus: ‘Impossible to overstate’ significance of Soleimani strike | CBS News

Must Read

Former CIA Director David Petraeus has called the airstrike and death of Iranian Commander Qassem Soleimani bigger than the death of Osama bin Laden. He says this without a positive tone, however, discussing the extreme consequences and retaliation efforts that are likely to follow. President Trump has said he authorized the attacks as a means to stop “imminent” attacks on American troops and diplomats. Petraeus has stressed the importance of his death taking place outside his home country in Iraq, stating how this would be similar to someone assassinating the CIA director, CENTCOM commander, or JSOC commander while they were visiting another country.
