An elite border patrol unit that saves lives and fights crime in the desert | The Epoch Times

A 15-man, elite Border Patrol Search, Trauma, and Rescue team focused on transnational crime and rescue operations has a 75 to 80% drop out rate in the induction course. Based out of Fort Bliss in Texas, every member is EMT-certified and is trained in diving, land navigation, and swift-water rescue. Three members are also K-9 handlers that are used to find missing persons and criminals. BORSTAR also assists at the Imperial Sand Dunes in California with search and rescue for crashed dune buggies.
