Two former members of elite Russian task force arrested for murder: report | Newsweek

Three suspects have been detained for allegedly murdering a businessman and his driver in 2008 in Moscow and attacking a man who later died in 2012. The third victim was attacked after the suspects received information that the man had a large sum of money. Two of the suspects were in the FSB’s Alpha unit and were retired prior to committing these crimes. One of the suspects is believed to have recruited the other two to commit the crimes. During a series of criminal investigations, firearms and explosives were found in their residences, with one of the men admitting to the crimes and incriminating the other two. The last names of the suspects involved in the murders are Chukanov, Voskresensky and Chukayev. Their next court appearance is 25 February 2020.
