‘He had presence’: Colleagues remember fallen Green Beret while friends raise more than $150,000 for family | Washington Examiner

On December 23rd Sgt. 1st Class Michael Goble died in Afghanistan from injuries he sustained during combat. He was on his third deployment to the country, returning to his family within only a few weeks. Goble’s friends have commented on how well-respected he was and on his strong devotion to his comrades. A family friend started a GoFundMe page which has raised over $150,000 for his partner and daughter. Goble’s girlfriend and family have not commented on his death, saying it is too difficult at this time.
