Special forces officers gets 2nd highest award for rescue of Brit, wife | Inquirer

Capt. Rico Tagure from the Philippine Army’s Special Forces was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Star by the President for his efforts in the rescue of Alan and Wilma Hyrons. The Hyrons were taken from a beach resort in Zamboanga del Sur back in October and were rescued on November 25th. British Special Forces also participated in the strategic planning of the rescue. 14 other awards were given out at the ceremony.
