Navy may be close to getting first female Special Ops boat crewman | Military.com

Special warfare combatant-craft crewmen are often teamed up with Navy SEALs and conduct reconnaissance missions. Three women are currently in varying parts of the 37-week training for the SWCC. The field was closed to females until 2016, where seven women have received SWCC contracts since then, but none have made it all the way through training. One of the candidates has made it through NSW Preparatory School and reported to NSW Orientation at the beginning of December, with another currently in the NSW Preparatory School.
