In February of 2012, Lieutenant Beauttah Suba was conducting a mission in Somalia when al-Shabaab fighters attacked his platoon on the side of the road. While many of the enemy troops were neutralized, unknown to the U.S. Special Forces, a group of the militants had regrouped. They ambushed Suba and the other troops where Suba was shot once by a machine gun and twice by a sniper, then another two times.
