Must Read

As 2020 approaches, emerging technologies and new political realities will continue to cause a fluctuating power dynamic between the U.S., Russia and China. According to a review of Global Firepower reports, the U.S. is the lead in the world in its military,  with Russia and China following closely behind. Ten years ago, things were slightly similar and slightly different. The U.S. was firmly in lead. China was at a narrow second. Russia was not up there until two years later, maintaining that position ever since. According to the latest report, China and Russia are major defense competitions to the U.S., putting the U.S. under intense pressure to “spend, modernize and evolve.” Despite the claims of this report, no actual ranking of armed forces exist. Global Firepower calculates the rank with their ‘in-house’ formula that takes into account size, technology and economy. The methods of their calculations are updated every year, evolving much over the years.
